About The Cause
From June 7th to 15th, over 20 business leaders from across Ireland, the UK, and the USA will push their limits—physically and mentally to take part in the 26 Mountains 2 Mayo Challenge to support Cancer Fund for Children. They will be scaling the highest peak in every county across Ireland, covering nearly 11,000 meters of elevation—1.25 times the height of Everest—all to raise an incredible €1,000,000 for children and families impacted by cancer.
The Mission
The mission of the 26 Mountains to Mayo challenge is to climb the highest peaks across Ireland over nine days, raising an ambitious €1 million. As main sponsor, Arachas is incredibly proud to sponsor this challenge and be part of such a meaningful initiative. For Arachas, this sponsorship goes beyond business - it's a deeply personal commitment to supporting children and families facing the unimaginable struggles of cancer. As a business, we are truly inspired by the challenge and are eager to contribute to it’s success as part of the ongoing support for this incredible cause.
These funds will ensure that no child or family across the 32 counties of Ireland has to face cancer alone. This is a cause that deeply resonates with us in Arachas and Ardonagh, and can make a huge impact by coming together as a team.
A team of business leaders are aiming to complete the Challenge over 9 days, starting in Donegal on 7th June 2025 and finishing in Mayo on 15th June 2025. During the challenge, the team will climb nearly 11,000m, which is 1.25 times the height of MT Everest from sea-level.
