As we’re all set to stay at home this Easter, we’ve come up with a bunch of fun activities the entire family can take part in whilst staying in the comfort and safety of your own home. From arts & crafts to baking up a storm in the kitchen , we have you covered for activities this Easter.
1.Make your own Easter Bunny Ears– You can’t be an Easter Bunny without the ears, so why not make your own? You could even hand them out to wear at dinner, so the entire family can get in on the fun! Click here to download our Bunny Ear template. All you need is scissors and glue.
How to make Bunny Ears
Step 1: Carefully cut out the ears – you’ll need two ears and one headband per person.
Step 2: Test the head band to make sure it fits!
Step 3: Glue one end of the headband to the other and stick on your bunny ears.
2. Host a Virtual Egg Hunt: If you usually take part in a community egg hunt with friends or neighbours, include them virtually this year. One adult from each household should hide eggs in the backyard or around the house. Then have every family sign on to a video chat and take everyone on a tour to see if they can spot the eggs. This is guaranteed to put a smile on everyone’s face!
3. Have an Easter Themed Movie Day – You’ve made your bunny ears, found all the hidden Easter Eggs on your hunt so now it’s time to grab a blanket, hop onto the couch and get settled in to watch some feel good Easter movies! We’ve listed out some of our favourites below – Hop, Peter Rabbit, Easter Parade and for the big kids- Rise of the Guardians.
4. Get Baking! – With all that extra chocolate lying around, now is the perfect time to put it all to good use. Why not melt down some of the chocolate and use it to make delicious Rice Krispie cakes or as a delicious topping on your homemade cupcakes. Make sure to add some mini eggs on top to complete your Easter themed cakes.
These are just some of the activities that we are looking forward to taking part in this Easter. Want to share some of your creations with us? Simply tag us in your pictures on social media or use the hashtag #EasterFunWithArachas. We’d love to see what you’ve come up with.
