HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW THE TAXI AND PRIVATE VEHICLE HIRE INDUSTRY?

IF I WANT TO GET A TAXI QUOTE WHAT DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?
In order to get you a quote we would require the following documentation;
- 1. A copy of your current driver’s license
- 2. A copy of your SPSV (Small Public Service Vehicle License)
- 3. Plate License
- 4. A copy of your no claims bonus
- 5. The make, model and serial number of your taxi meter.
ARE MY PASSENGERS COVERED IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT?
YES, under the road traffic act your passengers as cover for unlimited liability.
CAN I ADD MY PARTNER TO MY TAXI POLICY?
YES, you can add your partner to your policy, but for social and domestic use only.
CAN I PROTECT MY NO CLAIMS BONUS?
YES, if you wish to incorporate this feature into your policy then that is possible. This usually comes with a charge but can save taxi drivers a significant amount of money when renewing their policy in the event of a claim.
CAN YOU OFFER STAGGERED PREMIUM PAYMENTS?
We can organise finance for insurance products, depending on approval. If you want to spread your insurance premium payment across the year, please specify this when using our online system, or contact us to work out a payment plan that suits you.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CAR BREAKS DOWN, WHILE I AM OUT IN THE ROAD?
We would only recommend insurance products that had breakdown cover included in the policy. The breakdown assistance number would provide to you when the policy is taken out.
WHAT EFFECT DO PENALTY POINTS HAVE ON MY PREMIUM?
Depending on the number of penalty points accumulated, limits vary from insurer to insurer, they will result in an increase in insurance premium. It is very important that full penalty point history is disclosed during the quotation and renewal process.
