Job Title:  Commercial Administration and Development Assistant

Department:  Commercial New Business

Job Description:

The successful candidate will work with the Commercial new business team, holding responsibility for administration and operational support to David Jermyn and members of the MAST team

Candidates must have a minimum of three years experience in commercial insurance; demonstrate good communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will be able to act on their own initiative and demonstrate administrative and interpersonal skills in dealing with the operational and relationship issues that arise.

In addition to the specific capabilities identified for the role, the successful candidate will share the following attributes:-

• Commitment to working within a team and to delivering shared objectives.

• Commitment to their own professional development with success in the CII examinations a distinct advantage.  

• Compliance with the Central Bank’s Minimum Competency Requirements is essential.

Salary level:

3-5 years experience - € 30,000 - €35,000

Job Description:

The role will involve working within a busy corporate broking team with responsibility for the full servicing of small/medium commercial clients and providing support services to Account Directors on a variety of larger commercial/corporate accounts.

Experience & Skills:  

The ideal candidate will

• Have a minimum 4/5 years experience in a Commercial broking and able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge.

• Meet the requirements of the Central Bank of Ireland by either being a designated Grandfather or working towards or has achieved the CIP qualification.

• Be computer literate with experience of working on Open GI being advantageous but not essential.

• Have excellent customer service skills, internal and external.

• Be able demonstrate a commitment to their own professional development with success in the CII examinations a distinct advantage.

• Be committed to assisting in the development of their colleagues.

• Have the ability to adapt to and embrace change.

• Have great attention to detail and the ability to work alone and within a team.
